Cree & Dawn Series (formerly Highlander Trilogy) Book 3
Readers have fallen in love with Cree, the mighty Highland warrior, and Dawn, the courageous woman born without a voice. Their story started in Highlander Unchained and continued in Forbidden Highlander. This story centers on Cree’s sister Wintra. Much like her brother, she is strong-minded and willful and intends to do as she pleases until...
Torr is a mighty Highland warrior on a mission. He must find the powerful warrior Cree’s sister and return her home, but it isn’t as easy as he thought it would be. As much as he is determined to complete his task, she is even more determined that he doesn’t, until...
Wintra is in no need of help from the brute warrior that her brother Cree has sent to bring her home. She has plans of her own and they include marrying the man she has fallen in love with, whether her brother likes it or not. But stuck in the woods in a snowstorm completely naked with the mighty warrior, thanks to her own foolishness, has her more persistent than ever to find her way back to the man she loves, until...
They fall in love and nothing is the same after that, especially when Torr returns Wintra home to Cree. The truth comes to light about many things, especially one long held secret that changes everything for Wintra.
Highlander Captive Highlander Trilogy Book 3 edition by Donna Fletcher Romance eBooks
"Highlander's Captive" by Donna Fletcher. I have been anxiously waiting for this story- the third of Ms. Fletcher's Highlander's trilogy. The first two books focus on Dawn and Cree - very entertaining - two of my favorite books. The third tells the story of Cree's sister Wintra and her relationship with Torr, Dawn's brother.Wintra is innocent and very inquisitive -having grown up for the most part in an abbey. Torr is a strong warrior but has a tender side that shines through with Wintra. When obstacles get in the way of their love, can they overcome?
Despite this being Wintra and Torr's story, I've grown to adore Dawn and Cree and wish there was more of them in the story - this might sound a bit strange, but I missed them. Dawn especially, was not in the story much. And when she was, she seemed a bit subdued compared to the Dawn from the other books. There wasn't as much action in this book as the others, but that was ok - it tells the story of love between two that didn't expect it.
I would recommend this book, however, you might want to read the first two, "Highlander Unchained" and "Forbidden Highlander" first. You don't necessarily have to, in my opinion though as this is more of a stand alone story. Thank you, Ms. Fletcher, for another enjoyable story.

Highlander Captive Highlander Trilogy Book 3 edition by Donna Fletcher Romance eBooks Reviews
This book is the last in a series of three .I will admit that I enjoyed the parts that had Cree and Dawn in them the most, but have great love for the whole series. Donna Fletcher is a wonderfully descriptive writer that drags you into her books .I would recommend this series to everyone
All the books I have read by this author keep my interest however I have one problem with them. She inserts too many sex scenes in them. The plots are excellent and as soon as I become interested in what will happen next she inserts another sex scene and it breaks the flow of the plot.
I enjoyed this whole series more than I thought I would. The female character (Dawn) is mute and interesting to read about although it was frustrating how she NEVER listened and would constantly put herself in dangerous situations. I like a strong female lead, but I also like a smart one. The books were entertaining enough for me to buy the whole series.
I enjoyed reading about Cree's sister Wintra and Torr's relationship. But I prefer Cree and Dawn. This was a good book and I was happy for the POV to change around quite a bit and we got to see more of Dawn and her pregnancy. I was sooooo thrilled to see the wedding and the suprise birth. I just love the Highlander Trilogy books. I just want more and more books about Cree and Dawn.
This was truly the most wonderful Tale I have read in a very long time. The other two book were great, but this one was fantastic. I waited a very long time for this book. When it was finally here, I re-read the first two and then continued on with the third. I was not disappointed. Torr & Wintra's story was great and I love how it was intertwined with Crew's and Dawn's the whole time. I would have loved for Sloan to have his own story. If you loved the first two books, you will definitely love this one. I hope their are more Highland books in the works.
While the first 2 books were amazing, however, I found this one to have a mediocre storyline, with too many grammatical and punctual mistakes making it difficult to read and stay interested. On top of that, it irritates me that there isna' any true 13th century Scottish words. Such as, "very" is actually "verra", "no" is is spelled "nae" "know" is "keen" and so on. I love historical romances, especially ones that take place in the Highlands from the 14th century and earlier. I myself, am an author, so I tend to nitpick and speak up when there's too many errors.
I liked Torr and Wintra, but for some reason I did not find this book as good as the first two. Maybe because there was a lot of Dawn and Cree still in this book, and it did not give Torr and Wintra enough story time. Not that I do not like Dawn and Cree, because I do. This was just more teaser parts for Dawn and Cree, and I do not think it showed their personalities enough. The last chapter is devoted to Dawn and Cree, and not Torr and Wintra. Not that I did not like to know what happened, as it was something I had been wondering about, but I think she could have worked this in and then had a last chapter on Torr and Wintra. I also did not find this book as exciting. Maybe the "I love you" came too fast. I think the way Torr was described in this book, did not show how much of a harden warrior he is. He was more talkative with everyone not just Wintra, he just seemed different from the second book. I did enjoy the book, so still a good fast read.
As far as editing errors, this one was the worse of the three. I think there were actually sentences missing in a couple of places. Names switched again as well as other errors, but I did not find them that bad. I an not bother may these sorts of things where others are.
Sex content medium.
